Islam in Europe

Muslims are spreading all over the world. Islam is also getting famous as Belgians reverting Muslim. Belgium and Europe are also populated with Muslims from Morocco, Turkey, Syria, Palestine, Yemen, Iran, Iran, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Somalia, Bangladesh, and many other countries. In Belgium, Muslims are more than Belgians, especially the Moroccan community is greater than others

 

Mosques/ Masjid of Islam

Muslims pray in mosques. Many masjids for five times prayers are also here. Muslims can freely pray the Friday prayers and Eid prayers in Mosques. Muslims can arrange Iftar parties during Ramadan in Masjids and other Islamic programs.

Ramadan in Europe

Ramadan is the Holy month for Muslims as they fast for thirty days. They are allowed to fast. For this reason, they prepare “Sahoor” and “Iftar” at their homes and arrange Iftar parties. Still, they are forbidden to break their fast at workplaces. They break their fasts with only dates and juices and it is unacceptable to eat other meals at iftar time but during break time they can, if with non-Muslim organizations, just a few non-Muslim companies permit them to have iftar. Whereas they break their fast if employed at Muslim workplaces. During Ramadan, they find Islamic food as well with sale.

Eid Festivals

  The non-Muslims respect our religion as they allow us to celebrate Eid independently. But most employees do not get off from their jobs some take leave to celebrate Eid. Schools remain open but Muslim students can take leave to relish their festivals. But slaughter prohibition on Eid-ul-adha in a few countries in Europe. But still, believers of Islam slaughter in their way.

 Females’ Hijab and veil

The hijab is one of the significant of Muslim women. Females can wear hijab and males can keep beards. In some schools and colleges, students and teachers are acceptable with hijabs as well. Additionally, at many workplaces, females can wear hijab. But the veil is proscribed all over Europe. Few non-Muslims are racists but most are cooperative with these.

In some schools, Islamic education is also allowed. Muslims are spreading in Europe, Islamic subject is also a part of education here which they learn from Muslim teachers but it is only for Muslim students. They can learn the Quran from mosques and online as well.

Halal food according to Islam

Another obligation for believers of Islam is to eat Halal food which is easily accessible. Many Halal stores and restaurants in Europe sell Halal foods that Muslims can buy and eat. Additionally, there is no restriction on Halal food.

Aids by Muslims

Few non-Muslims are a little racist and when they act disrespectfully Muslim society protests against it. Moroccan, African, and Turkish communities especially always come forward to help other Muslims. 

Charity to poor

Islam is the religion to give charity to poor and needy people but in Europe, it is also illegal to ask for charity openly. Muslims give it personally or hidden. Additionally, they arrange some events to collect money for Sadaqa and give it to needy ones.

Limited rights

But Muslims have limited rights. As jihad is not permissible. Muslim has no freedom to have four wives at once. A woman must cover her face. Animal sacrifice is illegal. In Mosque Adhan on speakers is also illicit. If any incident happened against Islam police also help for conclusion. Muharram is an Islamic month of sorrow that Islamic countries celebrate while giving drinks and meals to friends and poor communities. Muslims cannot celebrate this month and mourning as mourning is part of Muharram as well but only the Shia sect follows this mourning, not the Sunni sect.

Some Belgians also support Muslims of Gaza, Syria, and some other Islamic countries while providing food, shelter, health, and wealth. The prosperity in Belgium and all over Europe is due to Muslims.
